2018: “While on a hiway, with cruse on, stopped for a red light. While stopped the engine shut off. I pushed the stop-start disable buttion. The car acclerated into the intersaction before I braked it to a stop. Luckely there was no one infront of me and no cross traffic or we would have wrecked. The car then went back to idle and has been fine since.”

I tried to use my key fob to turn that alarm off and it did. Not work. The alarm stopped and I had to use the hard key to enter my car. The car would not start and I had to get a jump from aaa. The car was new with less than 3000 miles on it. I took it to the dealer to for a diagnostic and they kept it for 5 days. They had to replace the bcm. The bcm was listed as problem in prior year versions of this vehicle. This appears to be a continuing problem with this vehicle. …”

Because of this a had a small accident with a gate as it did not advised me. I read in a few websites that I am not the only person having this same issue. This is a very serious issue that Alfa Romeo manufacturing should fix immediately before it can become a tragic event.”
