NHTSA complaint #10422278, filed 2011-08, 15,611 miles

“I own a 2007 Big Dog k9 that originally came with an avon venom 300/35r18 on the rear. Avon has discontinued making the venom and replaced it with the cobra. I replaced my venom in june of 2010 with the new cobra. After approximately 1200 miles, I found that the tire was starting to separate on each side at a splice joint. I called the people I bought the tire from and they promptly got me a replacement tire. My original cobra had a date code of 4009. My new cobra has a date code of 1111.”
