“I have a 1998 Buick regal with rear seatbelts that jam inside and cannot be re-extended. I have paid $200 to have the back seat removed and the seatbelts realigned so that they work. I was warned at time of repair that this was a common problem in this model car and it would probably reoccur. Despite our great care in using the realigned belts, the problem did in fact reoccur and now both rear belts are jammed again, with the result that our children cannot be properly restrained in the car and we cannot use it when traveling with them (unless we pay to have it repaired again). …”
NHTSA complaint #10282883, filed 2009-09, 106,000 miles“The rear seat belts are jammed into the retractor mechanism. The rear seat belt assembly has already been replaced. The dealer will not repair the problem free of charge. Buick refused to fix the seat belt because of the mileage on the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #566331, filed 2002-03, 54,696 miles“Horn failed to work when trying to use it while driving. Horn failed to work even when vehicle was parked. Took vehicle to dealership & informed by mechanic that problem could not be duplicated. Also, front seat belts failed to operate properly. Latch plate would not go into the buckle mechanism.”
NHTSA complaint #860727, filed 2000-04“Front seatbelt is too tight. She stated to the dealership that seatbelt cuts off her circulation when she drives her car . Also the dealership told her that she can get a clothes pin to attach to the seatbelt to stop the seatbelt from being too tight. Seatbelt replaced, but replacement has the same problem.”
