“I purchased this vehicle in 2017 with only 45,000 miles, 1 year warranty was purchased. I have had constant issues with tires, but more seriously I have had over $2000 in repairs for intake manifold, air conditioning, various issues with tires, repaired thermostat. I had an ignition problem repaired in 2019 and now the check engine light keeps flashing, the motor doesn't want to engage and I am in fear for my life that I will be on the highway and it will just shut down, causing a collision!”
NHTSA complaint #11298433, filed 2020-01, 50,000 miles“After driving the Encore for 30 minutes then making stops at different places a few minutes apart, when the car is started there is a smell of gas inside the car. Does not happen when starting the Encore for the first time of the day. I was inside the store from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, has happened several days now.”
NHTSA complaint #11218304, filed 2019-06, 88,000 miles“The turbo in my vehicle has a check engine light come on and than the engine does no act right. The repair shop that looked at car stated that the manufacture knows this is a known issue and they have not made a recall as several cars my year range has this going on. If this is a known issue why is there no recall. I worked had for my car and I can not afford the repair of a know issues with the turbo as it cost a lot and I should not have to cover this as it is apparent this is a manufacture defect that is known. …”
NHTSA complaint #11746663, filed 2026-06“My 2015 Buick Encore has a ticking from the fuel injection. Definitely irritating. Uic dealer said it's not a problem. The noise was there when I bought it in august, 8, 2017”
