“While driving down the highway one night the low beams suddenly went out. I was force to use the high beams until I could pull over. Inside the car I could smell something burning, something electrical. Once I pulled over I notice smoke coming from under the hood and that the fuse block under the hood was on fire, which hold fuses and relays. The two relays that was affected were the low beam and high windshield wiper, so they no longer work.”
NHTSA complaint #10508895, filed 2013-04, 67,300 miles“While driving at night, all of a sudden the headlights will turn off leaving you travelling along the highway at 60 to 75 MPH (depending on what type of highway, interstate or limited access roadway you are on). This leaves you moving with no idea where there is a safe place to pull over to get out of the travel lanes. This has occurred numerous times, and I am asking to be reimbursed for the expense of repairing this defect.”
NHTSA complaint #10629074, filed 2014-08, 56,000 miles“the glass to the sunroof blew off while driving and broken into pieces. broken glass at risk. no, the problem has not been confirmed by dealer or service center. no inspections. no warning lamps messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. The sunroof glass just blew off the car while driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11439940, filed 2021-11“Low beam headlights randomly turn off while driving at night and day. Causing not to be able to see the roadway at all. Very dangerous!!! They give no warning at all. Only the low beams do this. Bright lights are not affected. There was a recall for this issue but they said my car was not affected. But it is 100% affected by this recall. Ot seems like the Headlamp driver module is overheating. It gets extremely hot. This issue almost caused a very serious accident .”
NHTSA complaint #11665215, filed 2025-06“The contact owns a 2007 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that there is a chrome trim on the dashboard that appears in the side view mirrors of his vehicle. The heat vents also appear in the side view mirrors and the dash. Lastly, the rear window speakers reflect in the rear window. The contact stated that he is distracted while driving. The engine size was unknown. The current mileage is 2,600 and failure mileage was 400.”
