“Car vibrates and shakes when traveling on the hwy at speeds between 60-70. Dealer took the car for a road tested and confirmed that the problem does exist and that the tires are extremely noisy!! He said I should wait until I need new tires ,and buy special micheline 's. This is not an acceptable solution!! The tires should be replaced with no expence to me!!( DOT number: tire size: p225/60r16 )”
NHTSA complaint #713418, filed 1999-10“My issue is constant vibration of the vehicle at highway speeds. I have replaced all tires, all struts, balanced numerous times. Buick people tell me its the tires. Tire people tell me its the drive train. Meanwhile, nothing gets done except I keep spending money. I don't mind a problem now and then as long as someone responds to it. But in this case, based on my own experience and reading accounts of other owners, this issue never goes away. My guess is now that I'm out of warranty, GM will be more than happy to stick it on the rack at the going labor rate and maybe get to the bottom of it. …”
NHTSA complaint #727550, filed 2000-08“Driver's side seat belt is twisted & fails to retract properly. The seat beltis suppose to lock up. Also, front end has a scrapping noise while being driven. Been to dealer's & was test driven, twice by mechanic. Nothing was found.”
