“The driver's side sliding rear door on my 2005 Buick Terraza becomes loose and opens while driving. The door is locked when I start driving, but then becomes unlocked and I receive a warning that the passenger door is unlocked. If I am not able to pull over immediately to close the door it will come open because of the air load or the g forces while turning. This location happens to be where we have one of our car seats for our four children.”
NHTSA complaint #10312031, filed 2010-02, 50,000 miles“During cruise on highway (I-95 in florida) while on vacation the left rear power sliding door became unlatched and warning chimes sounded repeatedly and interior lights illuminated, this occurred several times again on this trip there was an investigation by the NHTSA in 2008 report #ea07019 which determined no defect was present which would require a recall. I beg to differ with that assessment there most certainly is a problem here, GM issued TSB #07-08-007 and #07-08-007 a-d which tells dealerships how to repair this problem. …”
NHTSA complaint #10650921, filed 2014-10, 62,075 miles“My passenger doors will not lock also door open why driving and my t/c come on why driving 55 to 60 miles a hour its feels like u on brakes slow down.”
NHTSA complaint #10481328, filed 2012-10, 130,000 miles“Continued problems with 2005 Buick Terraza minivan automatic doors that open on their own. Car had problems in warranty and now at 32000 and out of warranty since february, GM will as a gracious gesture pay for parts but not $500.00 labor. They claim no liability for this safety failure. This is the same problem that scores of other consumers are having with this class of minivan from GM.”
NHTSA complaint #10235739, filed 2008-07, 32,000 miles“Consumer stated, whenever the vehicle was started, he was unable to see the needle or the dial on any of the gauges on the dashboard. The dealer was notified. The dealer informed the consumer that was the normal characteristic of that vehicle and nothing else can be done. The consumer has a concern that he is unable to see the proper speed while driving or to determine the amount of fuel in the fuel tank.”
