“My vehicle is equipped with anti lock brakes. The same system is used for traction control and stability control. My vehicle is prone to brake sensor failures. Whenever one of the sensors fails the onboard diagnostic system disables all 3 of these safety features. I currently have the third sensor failure since I have owned the vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #10274026, filed 2009-06, 42,000 miles“While making a left turn onto another street at approximately 12 MPH, the left rear ball joint pulled completely unseated. This caused the wheel to no longer spin and pushed the top against the frame causing damage to the following: upper control arm, upper pivot bushing, and knuckle on the left rear wheel. I did have the ball joint replaced and currently am in need of replacing the bushing and knuckle. All in all, these repairs will have cost me: ball joint replacement and labor approximately 267.00, bushing and knuckle 165.00, and upper control arm 65.00, plus tool rentals. …”
NHTSA complaint #10744695, filed 2015-07, 123,000 miles“The contact stated while traveling various speeds, the child safety seat's harness buckle was easily unbuckled by the contact's child. The contact notified the place where the safety seat was purchased, who suggested that the NHTSA be contacted. The child safety seat manufacturer was contacted who expressed that there were similar complaints about this issue, and offered to send a replacement harness buckle. The contact expressed concern that the child could easily unlatch the harness buckle, which may pose a safety risk in the event of a collision.”
