“I am having problems with the sliding doors, the passenger side sliding door would not close. After about and hour, got the door closed and now the door alarm stays on. Have an appointment to get it looked at. After reading all the other complaints about these doors, I think they should have a recall to fix the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10330744, filed 2010-05, 49,000 miles

“The automatic doors will not close properly and at times just open up. If I am able to close the doors, the door alarm continues to sound and will do so for several hours. I have had it looked at by the dealership and have been told it is fixed several times. I bought this vehicle new and it has less than 30000 miles on it. This is an outrage and no one will stand behind the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10354581, filed 2010-09, 30,000 miles

“Purchased 2007 Buick Terraza, both sliding doors have had ongoing issues. The vehicle has been in for repair multiple times per door, at one point I was told by the repair technician, as I handed him pieces of the door mounting, that it is a good thing I didn't open it one more time as the door likely would have fallen off! I have returned to my vehicle numerous times to find one of the sliding door mysteriously open. …”

NHTSA complaint #10378546, filed 2011-01, 30,000 miles

“Rear sliding doors will not remain closed, then open while driving and continue to alarm when closed. I've taken it in for repairs three times on both doors, yet, now that my warranty is no longer in effect, I must pay out of pocket for an issue that is an obvious safety issue GM is ignoring. My grandson's car seat sits by those doors, thank god hasn't fallen out!!! I've googled and have seen hundreds of the same complaints ignored. Why is it somebody has to die before this problem is addressed?! There are several incident dates!!!”
