Example complaints

Equipment: “We have a 2007 Cedar Creek silverback 5th wheel Trailer with a dimplex electric fireplace . The fireplace has an electric heater which got so hot that it scorched the wood trim around the fireplace. If we did not see this it could have caused a fire. I contacted the manufacturer(Cedar Creek) and the dealer that where we purchased it about this problem. Cedar creek would not respond and the dealer said we should not use it more that 15 min. At a time. I feel that there should be a recall because of the potential fire hazard.”

I purchased this new travel Trailer in march 2007 from tom johnson camping in concord, nc. Included as a $360 option was the subject concertone unit. Since purchasing this camper, the concertone unit has been replaced four times by tom johnson camping, because these units failed to operate after 6-9 months. The current unit in my travel Trailer was replaced by tom johnson earlier this year. Concertone has a one year warranty. …”
