“I am a new owner of a 2003 avalanche, I was satisfied with my purchase but my soonroof falls under the appropriate serial numbers (6,000,000-6,300,000) recall states that it may be covered by the company webasto hollandia. Vehicle is fine to drive places but sunroof must be fixed for coming winter. It worries me as there's a slight danger of it causing a road hazard if it were to fall out.”
NHTSA complaint #11384649, filed 2020-12, 150,000 miles“Windshield wipers will not turn off. I have had to remove the fuse to get them to stop. I am taking it to the dealership this coming week. This has been an on-going condition. It works and then it doesn't. This last time was different since it would not shut off at all.”
NHTSA complaint #10158913, filed 2006-06“The contact owns a 2003 chevy avalanche. While driving 40 MPH or greater he would have to depress the brake pedal to the floorboard to stop, which increased the vehicle stopping distance. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The contact also stated that there was a flapping noise coming from the windshield wiper. The dealer took the windshield wiper apart and glued around the sides, however the problem continued to occur. The current mileage was 29,500 and the failure mileage was 4,000.”
