“While backing up and turning in a parking lot heard a pop got out and found my left front lower ball joint failed. Nothing was hit wheel and tire okay . Dealer said I must have hit something but once again no damage to the car”
NHTSA complaint #11407889, filed 2021-04, 8,800 miles“The camber plate nut fell off inside the shock causing me to lose control and go through a field. The camber plate is the only thing holding the strut to the vehicle and should have had a locknut from the factory as it's nothing more than a ball joint. It is available to inspect. It caused me to lose all control when it separated. I own a garage and confirmed failure myself. No i called Chevy about it and even asked if they wanted to send a factory rep out to look at it. I was told no and the only way they might be able to do anything is if i take it to the dealer for repairs. …”
