“Rear brake light burned out. Replaced and new one burned out within 1 week. Replaced and again it burned out. Went to dealer, and was charged >$30 to replace the bulb. Then it burned out and I took it back and they replaced a part, and didn't charge me for the labor because of the $30. Bulb still burned out. Didn't replace for over a year and then I replaced it and it burned out. Just recently replaced it again and it has been working for about 4 months.”

They advised at night when ever I running into wildlife on the road, shut off headlights, put car in n, let off the gas and hold vehicle steady while coast through the wildlife. By shutting the headlights off, wildlife [deer, antelope, elk, moose, etc]., are not blinded and can see. With continues daytime headlights, there have been five occasions, at 75-80 miles per hour, I have had to tip my 1998 S10 pickup, onto 2 wheels and weave my way through 100 or more mule tale deer on highway 85, north of lingle, near my ranch. …”
NHTSA complaint #725309, filed 2000-07“Headlights/drl failed. Cannot turn on manually using switch. Fuses ok. All other lighting systems working. Vehicle just eclipsed factory warranty, so will be out of my pocket. Had no choice in buying this automatic headlight system and now am stuck with costly repair.”
