“The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet SILVERADO 1500 HD. The contact stated that the check engine indicator randomly illuminated. Two dealers were notified of the failures, but were unable to provide a repair. The technician stated that the fuel cap needed to be replaced. The fuel cap was replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000. Updated 04/06/17 lj”
