“Speedometer issue: reads at least 50 MPH sitting still and registers more than 140 mpg at highway speed. My mechanic replaced the sensor in the unit and it worked for about 2 weeks and then it malfunctioned again. Cost to repair exceeds $700.00 as the instrument cluster must be replaced. This appears to be a common defect with these vehicles. Lack of a functioning speedometer is a safety issue! Transmission also required replacement at about 80k miles.”
