“For approximately 6 months my 2005 Chevrolet trailblazer's speedometer was intermittently showing that I was going from 100 to 120 MPH. It didn't matter what speed I was actually going or even if I was sitting still. I called the Chevrolet hotline because I noticed other owners having the same problem. They were basically not helpful. As many complaints that there are about this defect, I cannot believe the NHTSA has not stepped in. It is now happening all the time as it is approaching 74,000 miles which seems to be the mileage when everyone is stating they are having the most trouble.”

“The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet TRAILBLAZER 360. The contact stated that there was a random failure in which the vehicle increased speed without warning upon releasing the accelerator pedal. The contact constantly had to ensure that the brake pedal was applied when the accelerator pedal was released because the vehicle would independently surge forward numerous times without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than twice and they were not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. …”
