“Checking fuel indicator started to be stuck on below empty causing me to run out of gas on a few occasions. And from my understanding this has been a flaw in GM trucks for sometime now. And the cost for the repair is over $500.00. These vehicles cost too much money to have these types of problems and the dealer not think it is there responsibility to correct.”

While driving at various speeds and while idling, the fuel gauge fluctuated from empty to full continuously and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the fuel level sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,762. Updated 4/16/15 updated 9/29/2017”
