NHTSA complaint #10670469, filed 2015-01, 125,000 miles

“I ran out of gas on expressway on way home from work while gauge showed 1/4 tank. This happened again months later with tank showing just under 1/4 tank. Gauge around the time of first incident started bouncing around off and on at any reading while SUV was running. It would go from empty to 1/2 a tank and bounce around back and forth eventually stopping at a random amount. …”

NHTSA complaint #10442841, filed 2012-01, 80,000 miles

“I have a 2006 Trailblazer Ext and the traction is no longer operational.. This is unacceptable and needs to be recalled as I am not the only one experiencing this issue. Does someone need to be killed before action is taken? Nothing has been done to correct due to the high cost for the repair. What is chevy going to do in that it is a serious defect with their vehicle? Secondly, the gas gauge stop working and I ran out of gas. This is another serious defect that will cause others to be killed. Once again a recall needs to be put in place before someone is harmed. …”

NHTSA complaint #10376349, filed 2011-01

“Takata recall if fluid, such as melted snow containing road salt, enters the driver's door module, it may cause corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board. A short may cause the power door lock and power window switches to function intermittently or may stop working. The dealership cannot fix the vehicle due to the vehicle being a total loss on march 1 of 2015”
