“I had to replace my ABS pump-motor assembly 2 times in the past 2 years. The first time was by maff motors/tamaqua Chrysler dealer; invoice dated 10 july 06. Abs lamps on & brake pedal is hard; diagnosis pump/motor failure. Mileage 106587 second time problem started approx 11 march 08 low brake fluid, ABS & brake lights came on; mileage 150,351; I added approx 9 oz brake fluid & all lights went off. …”
NHTSA complaint #10234608, filed 2008-07, 157,053 miles“I was on my way to church, driving in a 30 MPH speed zone, going down hill, coming to a stop and it had just started raining. As I applied the brakes I started sliding/hydroplaning all over the road, first into the oncoming lane, then back to my lane, but off to the edge and finally managed to stop just at the stop sign. There was traffic all around me, but thankfully I didn't hit anyone or go off into the ravine. I had just had new brake pads put on 2 weeks before. My tires were wearing, but my mechanic/tire salesman said I didn't need new tires yet, I still had plenty of tread. …”
NHTSA complaint #10596831, filed 2014-06, 165,000 miles“I calle Chrysler care and they in november 2019 told me that it still has to be fixed under the recall but in june they say that they already fixed the recall in 1996 and they didn't have to fix it. I has to do with the ABS recall so I shouldn't drive it with the brakes not working to stop the car. I ended up getting another car to get myself to work. Thank you time and I hope to find out if this is true though you folks.”
