Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“In the rain, while driving in motion on a highway, the fan belt slipped off of the idler pulleys causing loss of steering, loss of charging, loss of cooling, thus causing a safety hazard on the car due to lack of steering. Resulting if almost $600.00 in repairs. The car repair shop says this happens all the time because the idler pulley are smooth and do not have the proper grooves. This needs to be a recall.”
