“The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler sebring convertible. When the seat belt was buckled, the warning light remained illuminated and the engine failed while driving 10 MPH. The vehicle was taken in for diagnostic testing. The mechanic stated that the vehicle could not be diagnosed because the battery continued to drain. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10885085, filed 2016-07, 97,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler sebring. The contact stated that the seat belt on the front passenger seat slipped out of the locked position. The seat belt continued to lock in position, but if pressure was applied to the seat belt it would come open. The vehicle was not inspected when the complaint was filed. The failure mileage and current mileages were 22000. Updated 11/05/10.”

The contact was driving 65 MPH when the seat bealt fastened warning light illuminated and the front driver side seat belt unfastened independently. The failure occurred only on the front driver side seat. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer now was the manufacturer made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 29,000 and the current mileage was 30,479.”
