“I have owned a 2007 town and county from new. Yesterday for the 6th time when I turned the vehicle off the left hand sliding door opened by itself. I called Chrysler some time back about this and they had no history of this happening. The vehicle has about 36,000 miles on it. We use the vehicle primarily for traveling and with our dogs. Can you imagine what could happen if I pulled into a rest area and the door opened by itself!!!”

“2007 Chrysler town and country minivan sliding door lock fails to open with power button or keyless fob. This requires a manual intervention to unlock the door and then manually open the door. This is a safety issue in case of emergency which would hamper immediate egress. Web sites suggest to reset the iod fuse or change out an expensive bcm. However, this only treats the symptom. There are no recalls or Chrysler help to identify or fix the root cause, not just the proximal cause. …”
