Owner took the vehicle to the dealer but was informed that the VIN does not match the numbers that were being recalled. Owner has tried to contact the manufacturer of daewoo. However, no one will respond.”
NHTSA complaint #10116934, filed 2005-03, 17,000 miles“04v357000/cam shaft position sensor. NHTSA complaint #10097239, filed 2004-10, 22,250 miles“The vehicle smells of smoke. A recall letter for the camshaft sensor was received. The consumer made contact with the dealer who stated it would be april until they could make the repair. Nhtsa recall 04v357000.”
NHTSA complaint #10096942, filed 2004-10, 65,000 miles“I received a safety recall notice on my daewoo Nubira regarding the camshaft position sensor. I want to get it serviced, but there nobody will service it! Vern eide in sioux falls, who originally sold the car (to the prior owner) refuses to fix it. I went online to the daewoo site to get the nearest shop that would replace it and there is nobody in sd that is on that list. The nearest one is 200 miles away. That is unacceptable. It is a repair that legally has to be fixed, from what I understand...so daewoo needs accommodate a reasonable solution to get it repaired.”
