“My 2002 Dodge Caravan drivers side window broke at 70k miles, (new motor) I had it replaced and now passenger side window is broke 130k miles. This is a defect in the motor... My sister has the same van and hers is broke too.I would like this recalled so that I can open the window.”
NHTSA complaint #10278251, filed 2009-07, 80,000 miles“I had purchased a 2002 Dodge Caravan se and immediately after it was back in the shop for repairs. I heard a noise in the window and the Dodge place told me it was nothing not to worry about it. …”
NHTSA complaint #10095637, filed 2004-10, 120 miles“Air bag light remained on all the time. Brought van to dealer knowing that their had been large recalls of vans with airbag problems in the past. The clockspring needed to be replaced. Company claimed that there was no recall for 2002 models. This seems to be an ongoing problem for Dodge and should be covered by them. Also not covered under the warranty. Also problems with the rear windshield wiper motor breaking.”
NHTSA complaint #10146622, filed 2005-12, 50,000 miles“Window on passenger side fails to work. Pressing the window opened button lowered the window, but then it wouldn't raise it. After some time, the button began working again and we were able to raise it. A few days later we lowered it again and it again got stuck. After getting it raised, we don't lower the window anymore out of concern that it'll get stuck in the lowered position.”
NHTSA complaint #10282231, filed 2009-08“The first failure was the airbag light staying on continuely. I had it repaired a few months after buying the vehicle new. Less than six months later, the light stayed on again. We had moved to ashland and it was repaired there. Within a week of having it repaired, I tried to use my horn and it did not work. They couldn't fix it at my convience, so I had to wait a few weeks to get it repairs. Now, my windows sometimes go up and down and sometimes they do not. My van is less than 2 years old and already, I have had to borrow someones car because mine was in the shop. …”
