NHTSA complaint #10896936, filed 2016-08, 132,000 miles“Takata recall, contacted dealer to replace airbag they said I was on a waiting list and as they received parts would notify me when my name comes up but it has been over a year.”
NHTSA complaint #11045443, filed 2017-11“I took my car in to kendall Dodge for the safety recall on part # r25/NHTSA 15v-313 (which is part of my airbag) to be replaced and the service department is saying that the recall could not be completed because there is clock spring connector tab part # 107300 that is damaged and they are refusing to fix this. My concern is obviously that the service department is claiming that if my car in an accident my airbag will not deploy. It appears that this car was in a front end collision and someone tampered with the airbag (glued all the back together) in order to hide damage. …”
NHTSA complaint #10731031, filed 2015-06“Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Dodge DURANGO 4X4. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. Parts distribution disconnect.”
NHTSA complaint #10807970, filed 2015-12“Received recall notice in december, 2014 advising of recall on airbags due to failure caused by exposure to absolute humidity. Have made multiple attempts over the past four months to get vehicle into be repaired only to be advised that manufacturer has not provided parts. Contacted chrysler recall today (04/15/15) and no estimated date for parts available. In short, manufacturer has identified a known problem with the airbags and has lacked diligence in making parts available.”
