“The recalls are for 2016-2015 airbags component. I had called every dodge dealership within my 50miles distance and mercedes benz and they dont have the part to perform the repair or they mention they have no space for the vehicle. There never been any accidents. Its just a recall from Mercedes/mopar”
NHTSA complaint #11609863, filed 2024-08“We have received 2 notices bot both the driver and passenger air bags for recall. We have contacted the only local dealer for this repair. They have told us they do not have the parts/supplies to fix this issue. We want to make sure our employees are safe driving this van.”
NHTSA complaint #10953878, filed 2017-02“Purchased car and cannot register car because of recall. I have called Dodge and I am basically being told too bad and I have to wait. I have waited 2 months, the recall has been out for almost 6 months now. I am still being told that there is no part available or even made to fix this recall. I am not affected by the symptoms of the recall, I just can't register my car. Right now it's the worlds biggest paper weight.”
NHTSA complaint #10820355, filed 2016-01“A recall was issued may 26, 2015 for the passenger side airbag to be replaced. According to Dodge, an inflator rupture could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupant(s). A similar recall was issued february 10, 2016 for the driver side airbag. I'm very concerned that Dodge has failed to address the passenger side airbag issue after nearly one year. I fear that there will be a similar delay on the driver side airbag.”
NHTSA complaint #10855681, filed 2016-04“Takata recall. Received recall notices 15v-354 and 16v-077 from fiat chrysler us llc. Attempted service at several local chrysler, jeep,Dodge ram dealers but was turned away saying they do not do recall work on Dodge sprinters. Contacted local sprinter dealers and was informed they do not do recall work on Dodge sprinters. Contacted fiat chrysler llc recall assistance center and they said my only option was to travel to portland, oregon or las vegas, nevada to have the recall work done. I have no ability to travel that far for this safety recall work. …”
