“I am submitting this report to document a serious and dangerous safety defect involving my Genesis G70. Note - Your system pulls my VIN as a G80, I own a G70. On two separate occasions, the vehicle applied braking without driver input and abruptly veered to the left, despite there being no obstacles, vehicles, or road hazards present. During the first incident, the vehicle was operating in Comfort mode with Lane Assist enabled. During the second incident, the vehicle was operating in Sport mode with Lane Assist disabled. …”

NHTSA complaint #11707234, filed 2025-12

“While using the cruise control, the forward vision warning system activates even though it has been turned off. This is not unexpected as the owner’s manual notes that is the case. What is unexpected is that it is virtually impossible to find a comfortable position of my head and/or the steering wheel in which the warning system does not repeatedly activate. If it activates often and/or long enough, the cruise control turns off. This is so distracting that on an eight hour trip I finally gave up on using the cruise control when it would otherwise be most useful. …”

NHTSA complaint #11767905, filed 2026-09

“2026 Genesis G70 2.5T RWD. The navigation system is completely gone. There is absolutely no way to get the maps or even the navigation settings menu up. On every startup, you can see a part of the screen which shows it tries to load navigation, but fails every time. There are a few critical safety issues with this. To start, a main feature of the Adaptive Cruise Control is relying on GPS map data to anticipate sharp bends in the highway. …”

NHTSA complaint #11762164, filed 2026-09

“While driving at highway speeds (55–73 mph), the vehicle has repeatedly and unexpectedly applied the brakes on its own and on at least one occasion experienced a loss of power. These events occurred without any vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles present, and without any driver input. Road and weather conditions did not warrant braking. On multiple occasions, the vehicle suddenly decelerated while adaptive cruise control was engaged, then immediately re-accelerated back to the set speed. This created a serious risk of being rear-ended or involved in a high-speed collision. …”
