Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“ICCU failed leaving me stranded on the side of the road (thankfully not on bridge). This was supposed to have been fixed under a recall the week prior by reprogramming the computer. Genesis has not changed the ICCU so even if/when repaired, it will most likely happen again. The Genesis of Wexford, PA dealer confirmed ICCU and fuse blown. Stop vehicle and check power supply warning light came on.”

NHTSA complaint #11657192, filed 2025-04

“Complete power outage when parking the car, after pressing the power button. Car did not go through shutoff mode. Parking brake was not engaged, so car would roll if foot brake was released. Could not restart vehicle, and no electrical switches worked. Doors would not unlock, rear hatch wouldn't activate. Approximately 30 seconds later power came back on and dash showed red status for approximately 3 seconds. Then dash returned to normal status and car worked fine.”
