“While i was driving on the highway at 85 mph the truck went into limp mode causing the truck to slow down at a dangerous distance. My body was forced forward causing me to lose a portion of control and causing other drivers behind me to slam on their breaks. I pulled over and turned it off for a few minutes then resumed my travel. About 30 minutes later it happened again at 80 mph the exact same way. After taking it to the dealership they said it was a faulty solenoid in the valve body.”
NHTSA complaint #11765498, filed 2026-09“While driving at 70–75 mph on an interstate, my vehicle suddenly displayed a “Brake Failure” warning and limited speed to 62 mph. Power steering failed completely, and braking became ineffective despite hard pedal pressure. Multiple warnings followed: ABS, engine, and others. I was in heavy traffic with vehicles at full speed. Loss of braking and steering control forced me to coast across lanes to the shoulder, narrowly avoiding collision. My safety and that of others was at extreme risk. After stopping, I turned the vehicle off for ~30 seconds. …”
