“Our 2008 Gmc Envoy kept on getting louder and louder as time went on and when I went to check it out I found that the exhaust manifold had a crack in it about 3.5 inches long. If feel that this should be a recall do to I changed 3 od them in other Gmc envoys in the last 6 months. I own a state inspection repair garage in pennsylvania.this is a very poor layout by GM. Also the secondary air pump on this same vehicle is a command problem. And the wiper spray nozzle is also another command poor design.”

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who advised the contact that because the air pump was located under the vehicle, it was left exposed to debris, which had built up in the air pump over time. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called the manufacturer and filed a complaint. The failure mileage was 72,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10499232, filed 2013-02, 72,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Gmc Envoy. The contact stated that the check engine warning lamp illuminated on the instrument panel.
