“Well I keep driving my truck. And my airbag light is on. So there for if I get hit they not going to come out and protect me. And I'm having bad issues with my ball joints. On my 2012 Gmc 2500 hd. I've put 2 sets on them. And I've only had it a year. You gotta do something about that.”

NHTSA complaint #11171141, filed 2019-01, 190,000 miles

“A multi-car collision had occurred at a considerable speed. (sadly a driver had lost a life in this accident) this collision entailed a very large commercial truck being hit head on, by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.( this 2nd vehicle being a van) after this severe impact with the large commercial vehicle, (which created heavy damage to this vehicle, removing the front axle) the van proceeded being ricochet off the large commercial vehicle, around it, back into my oncoming lane. This resulted in a frontal driver impact head on with the out of control van. …”

NHTSA complaint #10640981, filed 2014-10, 33,000 miles

“1 day got in truck and noticed the dash was cracked on driver side behind the gauge cluster and as I looked I noticed it was also cracked at the 2 upper corners of the passenger air bag. The truck only has 25000 mile on it. Gm will not pay to have it fixed and I'm worried that it can affect the safety of the air bags”

NHTSA complaint #10945921, filed 2017-01

“The contact owns a 2012 Gmc SIERRA 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, the air bag warning indicator illuminated continuously. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the front passenger's side air bag module. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 57,000.”
