“Why is GM recall 14121 limited to new vehicles? It has been a recurrent, common problem since long before 2000. Long before I bought my 2007 Gmc Sierra Classic 2500hd which is on the third repair. I just replaced a transmission cooler line in my driveway. Today. Which is steadily eroding by way of continuous transmission cooler leaks. It continuously coats the underside of vehicle, reducing life of belts and hoses. Gm dealers feel its not covered by 5/100k powertrain warranty, or 36k bumper-bumper warranty because it's a long time GM problem as well as warranties in general.”
