Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I have been the sole owner of this well maintained vehicle since it was purchased new. I noticed gasoline leakage from the gas tank onto my garage floor. When repaired by a Gmc dealership, I was told that the gas tank had rusted through on the top surface causing the leak and requiring replacement of the gas tank. This problem presented a very serious risk of fire and other owners of this vehicle may be unknowingly at risk.”
