I have had sporadic readings where the gauge will drop to a no gas reading to a full gas reading to an actual reading to an un actual reading. The gauge has never stopped working completely until yesterday, more than 5 years after the warranty period expired. I have tried turning the bike on and off and I get a zero gas reading and zero gas movement from the gauge. Again, it no longer works and is stuck at the same level. …”
NHTSA complaint #10348549, filed 2010-08, 13,000 milesSteering: “This afternoon I rode in about 20 MPH winds and it was extremely dangerous. It felt like I was riding on ice or glass. Any slight burst of wind pushed my motorcycle into a dangerous lean. I felt it the most while traveling at speeds between 30 and 45 MPH. I've ridden many different makes of motorcycles and have never experienced anything like this. I did not feel like I had control and even had to pull over a few times to avoid loosing complete control.”
