Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The rear end of the vehicle would bottom out whenever driving over slight dip or small bump, the rear axle was 10000 lbs when it should had been 13500 lbs. Nlm monaco replaced the rear axle assembly, however consumer had to drive 140 miles one way to have the work done and is wondering what damage has already been done due to driving it over20000 miles with too much weight riding on the wrong rear axle.”

NHTSA complaint #559401, filed 2001-02
