The easiest way to remove it during PDI is to grab the covering with both hands near the top of the steering wheel and pull it toward you, like you see here. The covering comes right off.

What’s likely causing it is the seat-back fabric rubbing against the foam pad underneath. This noise only happens when the seat gets hot (the seat temperature is over 104° F). We’re aware of this concern and we’re currently working on a solution, so, at this time, there’s no product improvement available…
