“I have had numerous problems with my power windows in my 1997 Honda Civic ex. The windown will only go back up halfway and gets off track, it has been in the shop several times. I finally placed the window regulator and it worked for about a week and then got off track again. I am signle female and have to pay everytime to get it back on track. I have spent about $200.00 on getting it looked at, put back together because I do a lot of travel with my job. I know two other people (models 2003 & 1997) who have simialr problems. A mechanic told me that the window regulator has a mal-function. …”
NHTSA complaint #10072481, filed 2004-05, 88,000 miles“Vehicle would not start in november of 2000. Dealership tested battery to see if this was cause. Mechanic replaced battery, and vehicle still would not start. Mechanics then replaced entire alternator, and this corrected defect. There was approximately 28,000 miles on alternator when this occurred. Run channel and regulator for the power window was replaced. Hood release snapped off when consumer pulled it. Consumer is requesting partial reimbursement for the repairment of the alternator.”
NHTSA complaint #886087, filed 2001-04“Passenger's side door cannot manually or by using the electronic door locks to be opened. Consumer took vehicle to dealership, and they wanted to replaced everything. The dealer has fixed the door.”
