2006: “We recently had transmission coolant line replaced by the dealer about 2 weeks ago. Last night, while my 17 year old son was driving straight on a paved road at approximately 25mph the driver and passenger side airbags deployed for no reason. He sustained a burn on his hand from the air bag as well as neck pain. At this point he has not needed medical attention.”
NHTSA complaint #11405726, filed 2021-03, 113,000 miles2009: “I was traveling down the highway and the passenger and driver's side airbags deployed almost causing me crash. They deployed for no reason and no airbag light or warning was given. Not understanding how they would deploy without a crash or some type of vehicle damage had occurred. Major safety issue. Now what to do? No recall? Ive seen many complaints about this happening in the 2009 Hummer H3.”
NHTSA complaint #11316736, filed 2020-03, 141,000 miles2008: “The anti-theft system activates on its own. Several times in the past two months when I go to start my vehicle it will not start because it thinks its being stolen. I have purchased a new key and also switched key fobs. I can park the car in the garage in the morning and at 5pm when leaving work go to start it and nothing. All the dash lights come on but, it will not start.”
