“With the steering wheel turned to its far right extreme, the front suspension emits a loud creaking noise when there is an incline, such as entering a parking lot entrance or driveway. This is the only time I hear the creaking noise. This concerns me because I'm afraid the noise indicates a failing or faulty suspension component, which could possibly lead to loss of vehicle control should the faulty part fail with the vehicle in motion.”
NHTSA complaint #11193816, filed 2019-04, 500 miles“Was not given the opportunity to test drive on the highway upon purchase. When I took the vehicle home and got it up to highway speeds the vehicle floats, or sways left and right like its out of alignment. Hyundai has told me unfortunately that is just the way the vehicle rides, this is not acceptable because I feel that is a safety issue. If you add wind in the equation it is a constant fight the keep the vehicle straight or in its lane. Drove 650 miles plus to get this resolved and no resolution has been met. …”
NHTSA complaint #11102189, filed 2018-06, 25 miles“When the vehicle is turning right over uneven surfaces (or bumps), the vehicle makes crunching/creaking sounds that may suggest suspension issues or fear of driving the vehicle. Dealer does not understand the issue and unable to repair. It would appear related to engine mount rubber that can reduce noise if applying lubricating sprays, but unsure if any affect to vehicle safety.”
NHTSA complaint #11404157, filed 2021-03, 21,185 miles“engine mounts have been replaced already twice and they keep going bad last time was over a year ago and now it's bad again making noises vibrate and this replacement was done by the dealership with parts from Hyundai apparently under warranty and now warranty is almost done worries me that in a year without warranty i have to replace them again something is really off with either the engine or the parts they are replacing”
