“I bought a 2009 hyndai Santa Fe in 2013 with only 40,000 miles on it and had no problems until december of 2018. I drove about 20 miles and on the way back home it started going as slow as 5 miles an hour; I don't know if it is an issue about being recalled but I still have 2 more years of payments and the truck isn't working!!!”

“My ESC,ABS& awd symbol came on at the same time & I know other people who own hyundais & had this issue im guessing this is something major because when I called the dealership they knew exactly what I was talking about they all came on while I was driving”

NHTSA complaint #11064193, filed 2018-01, 83,000 miles

“Takata recall: on june 2 2017 I took my vehicle to happy Hyundai of oak lawn for an oil change. They determined there was a recall because of rusting of my cars undercarriage. They kept my vehicle until august 17,2017. On october 5th, I was backing in a parking spot, what I know now as my control arm, left axle and left ball joint broke. Had it towed home, called happy Hyundai, has it towed there. After inspectioning my vehicle they determined the control arm & axle were a part of the campaign recall but they are refusing to fix my vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11033969, filed 2017-10, 88,703 miles

“I was heading out and the ABS and ESC lights came on. Decided to turn around and go back home, due to fact that I was worried and scared that something was wrong with ABS brakes and the ESC control, that may or may not cause a crash or accident. I do not want to have an accident or end up getting hurt or hurt anyone else for that matter. Read in manual that it could be a faulty switch or sensor. I do not have that kid of costly money to fix problem. I need my car to get to doctors appointments as I have many health issues. …”

NHTSA complaint #10715546, filed 2015-05, 79,500 miles

“My car had the brake light switch repaired in 2013 before I owned the vehicle under recall 13v113000. Now the brake light switch has failed again. I first noticed the issue when I went to start my car and could not put the car in reverse. This happened seemingly out of nowhere after the car had been parked and off for about 10 minutes. My brake lights, electronic stability control, and cruise control do not work and I cannot shift the transmission. When I called Hyundai I was told that the part was replaced in 2013 so there is no longer a recall option, even though the part is failing again.”
