“Hyundai is not taking action to repair the recall for the pretensioner. It has been 90 days since the recall and I have been unable to get the vehicle fixed because the parts are on national backorder. The dealer has informed me that there is NO ETA for the parts to arrive. The dealer further advised that he has about 20 people waiting on them. Hyundai has been uncooperative when attempting to talk with them.”
NHTSA complaint #11483724, filed 2022-09“Hyundai issued a recall on 06/27/22 to repair part of the seat belt pretensioner, and they continue to send reminders to have the repair. I have been in touch with my dealer since last fall and they state they have not ever been given any guidance from Hyundai regarding the part. It would seem that the manufacturer would have been prepared with a supply of the replacement part, and certainly has had ample time for production. …”

The Service Manager informed me that there was also a recall on my car and that when I bring my car in I can have the recall taken care of as well. My appointment was set for September 1, 2022 I took the entire day off of work since I didn’t expect my car to be done in a few hours. …”
