“I was driving down the highway and the revs went up really high with some banging and clanging, the check engine light came on and the gears stopped shifting. The dealer told me the transmission valve body failed and it seems to be a common issue in these cars. Not safe to drive as the gears wont shift and this seems to be a sensor in the transmission that is doomed to fail after a matter of time. Infiniti reengineered this part because they know it is going to fail but have not issued a recall.”
