Odi opened this pe based on owner and ewr field reports alleging the subject scooters would stall while underway.after opening this investigation, yamaha decided to conduct a corrective safety recall (08v-180) in lieu of responding an odi information request.with that recall, this pe is closed.

An NHTSA investigation looks into whether a safety defect exists. Opening one is not a finding. Outcomes can include a recall, closure without action, or further inquiry.
