Summary

Analysis:the locking mechanisms on the 400xl infant/toddler baby seatsmay not work properly.the complainants reported that the lockingmechanism will not remain locked and that the lock comes undone whiletraveling down the road.this allows the safety shield to rise, whichalso lifts the shoulder straps and allows the child to get out of theseat.this alleged defect may endanger the child if an accident occurs.proposed action:to open a preliminary evaluation.
