NHTSA complaint #10716948, filed 2015-05, 80,000 miles“I came outside at 11:30am and tried to open the rear lift glass and discovered that one the metal hinges/braces on the top of the glass had separated. It appears to me that the adhesive that bonded the metal to the glass has failed. I was a little stunned after I thought about what could have happened if I was traveling with a load pressed against this glass. I took the vehicle to a local GM dealership and I was told the entire glass would have to be replace at a cost of approximately $1700; about $1200 of that price is for the glass itself. …”
