2002: “At last inspection, I was told by my mechanic that there is a lot of rear frame rust on my vehicle, and it may not be safe to drive as the rust progresses. There was a recall on these vehicles, but I never received a notice. I bought my 2002 Isuzu in sept. Of 2012. I'm afraid to drive my vehicle, and I would never sell it in the condition it is, I believe its not safe. I need a remedy.”
NHTSA complaint #10898314, filed 2016-08, 124,000 miles2001: “I owned a 2001 Isuzu rodeo that I just had to get rid of because of the frame rotting in half. I am now in a situation where I have to have car payment. Had it not been for the frame, I would still have the Isuzu because mechanically it was fine but imagine my horror when the garage told me I could not drive the car because of the frame rotting in half.”
NHTSA complaint #10359077, filed 2010-10, 80,164 miles1998: “When fill car to the max with gasoline at +2.00/gal. I'll drive to work about driving 60 highway miles, the gas gauge reads half fulled. It will stay at half full for about another 60 miles then go down as normal. I mention this to auto repair guys and the never seen anything like it. So it must be a manufacturer malfunction.”
