“I was on the interstate and as I pressed the accelerator to increase my speed-I was currently going 55-the accelerator got stuck. The vehicle continued to increase in speed-during rush hour, but I managed, after pressing the brake hard 4 times, to un-stick the accelerator. I ended up going 80 MPH and avoided a crash but this alarmed me as this has never happened to me and it is as if the vehicle had a mind of its own . Especially after recent deaths in the cases with toyota. I contacted Isuzu and I was told that they have not issued any recalls on this issue. …”

“(1) events leading up to failure: on three separate occasions, my 2004 Isuzu Rodeo 2wd vehicle suddenly accelerated forward while my foot was on the brake pedal. (2) failure and its consequences: all incidences occurred while waiting at either a stop light or sign. Had I not had my foot firmly on the brake pedal, the vehicle would have lunged forward and either hit the car in front or a pedestrian in a crosswalk. (3) what was done to correct the failure: on june 26, 2006, I took the vehicle in to the only authorized Isuzu dealership on the island of oahu to investigate the problem. …”
