“My wife and I were given a replacement Jaguar S-Type on 05/03/2005 by smith co. Motor cars of charleston, wv. After they were unable to repair a Jaguar x-type that we had bought on 08/26/2004. We then moved to california in 06/2005 and my husband drove the car cross-country to ca without any problems. On 08/05/2005 the car was first presented for a scheduled 10,000 mile maintenance to Jaguar of south bay, 3111 pacific coast highway, torrance, ca. Since then, the car has been returned to them for more than 8 (eight) times, without satisfactory repair. …”

Set and highest fan setting; car was brought into dealer 3 times for this as of this date; car does not take fuel - auto shut-off prevents it from accepting fuel; during recent crash caused by total brake failure, air bag light came on but no air bag deployed - why didn't the air bag deploy?; low fuel light does not come on; remote will not lock car, only unlock”

NHTSA complaint #10126139, filed 2005-06, 2,852 miles

“While driving a Jaguar rental car from hertz we were broad sided on the passenger side by a limousine running a red light. The force of the impact pushed our car into an SUV in the turn lane before our car landed on the median. The car was totaled. The airbag indicator light appeared in the panel, however, no front or side airbags deployed. Passenger sustained a head injury due to the accident, hitting the window and door frame during the collision. Why didn't the airbags deploy?”
