“Gauges short out - no speedometer - no gas gauges, oil pressure, temp, etc - windows will not role down. - this can happen at any time - kind of scary - it lights up like a christmas tree.. My dealer has had the car 7 of the last 10 weeks - trying to fix it. I contacted je/chrysler - they said it is not their problem. Even though on the internet I found at least a 100 people with the same problem - in 2002 Jeep recalled all of its cars for this exact problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10208233, filed 2007-11, 100,000 miles

“At 7:20 this morning when I started the Jeep, the headlights and taillights and dash lights did not work. The high beams worked only while I held the switch on. They wouldn't stay on. Turn indicators worked. Drove son to school and came home. Took Jeep manual inside to look up fuses. Discovered there are separate fuses for left and right so I doubted it was the fuse. Decided I would have to take the Jeep to the dealer. When I went back to the garage about 7:35, the lights were on (I had left the switch on by mistake, and the lights on alarm didn't sound when I left the car). …”
