Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I was riding in to a tunnel and heard a crack type noise then all of a sudden smoke appeared, the rear tire was rubbing under subframe slowing the bike down, the rear suspension had collapsed and the crossmember separated from the frame. The shock mount is hanging off the frame. This could have possibly caused a fatal accident.”

“Heard of people having problems with frames cracking on the internet and found out that mine is also cracked. It is a motorcycle and the rearend of the bike could come detached if the crack becomes a break. Also have a friend with a crack in the same location.”
